Review by hotel critic
During my recent city break at Hotel Frederiksborg, I found it to be a delightful blend of comfort and Scandinavian charm, perfectly situated across from the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The spacious room offered not just cleanliness but also free WiFi and an impressive view that captivated both my architectural eye and my travel companions. While the hotel leans into a slightly retro style, it has seen recent updates that have infused a modern vibe into its interiors, making it a favorable choice for those on a budget yet craving a unique experience. Dining at the hotel was a treat; I especially relished the bistronomic meals in the lively atmosphere of the restaurant, which served everything from classic cocktails to an array of gourmet dishes that catered to diverse palates. I left Frederiksborg wanting to return, as it gracefully balances the appeal of its history with modern amenities, making it an architectural milestone and an enjoyable stay for anyone exploring the captivating city around it.
